Keep reading below to learn from the professionals here at A/C Rescue, LLC.
Thermostat Settings
The first thing you should always check when you are experiencing air conditioning problems of any kind if your thermostat. Whether you have a basic manual thermostat or the fanciest and newest smart thermostat, your thermostat could be creating an issue for you and your King, NC home. Make sure your thermostat is set to COOL and is on your desired temperature. Additionally, be sure to check that the fan is set to AUTO, not ON. When set to ON, your fan will blow air throughout your home even when your AC unit has stopped its cooling cycle.
Dirty Air Filters
While they may seem insignificant, your air filters play a huge role in the health and effectiveness of your heating and cooling system. Dirty air filters are one of the most common reasons your AC unit may not be working to the best of its ability. If you’re having AC problems, check your air filters. If they are dirty, they could be clogging and blocking the airflow throughout your King, NC home. Make sure you check your air filters once a month and change them out every 1-3 months as needed.
If you’re still having air conditioning issues after checking your thermostat and your air filters, it’s time to call in the experts at A/C Rescue, LLC.
